DUBAI, UAE — Modo Technologies today launched OSwright, a venture by Modo that builds a company its own operating system: one system for the whole business, designed around how that business already works instead of asking it to change for the software. OSwright grew out of Modo OS, the system Modo built for its own companies in India and the UAE, after clients and partners who saw it at work asked for one of their own.
Built for Modo first
By 2026, Modo was running on a stack of online subscriptions that did not talk to each other, each asking the company to work its way. Kadli built one system in their place. Thirty-five days after the first line of code, the first build was rolled out at Modo, and on 1 June 2026 the team moved onto it. It now runs Modo’s sales, quoting, stock, purchasing, HR and payroll, communications and devices on one record, and has retired or is retiring seven apps, worth about USD 6,000 a year in subscriptions.
A night shift for the software
Anyone at Modo can report a problem or ask for a change in a sentence, from the screen they are on. Overnight, the change is written and tested, and the screens it touches are checked at desktop and phone widths. Routine fixes ship on their own by morning; anything that touches sign-in, permissions, secrets or the shape of the company’s data waits for the owner’s approval. Since 1 June, Modo’s team has filed 921 reports and requests and 803 have been resolved, with a median of 14 hours from report to resolution (as of 22 October 2026).
Advisors built in
AI advisors read each area of the business every hour and prepare what needs a decision: approvals waiting, the day’s briefing, who is in the office. Each person sees only what their role allows, including when they ask the system a question in plain language.
Built to order
Each OSwright client gets its own system, named after the client and built on the OSwright platform. OSwright first maps how the company sells, buys, stocks, pays and hires, then builds to that map; scope, price and timeline follow from that scoping, not before it. Each system is built to keep changing the way Modo’s does: its team puts what it needs into words, and the night shift builds it.
“Clients keep asking whether it can do this or has that,” said Kadli. “It can do whatever you want, as long as you can put it into words.”
