MUMBAI, INDIA — Modo Technologies, a leading smart home and building automation company operating across India and the Middle East, concluded a strong three-day showing at Smart Home Expo 2026, held 28–30 April at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The company joined one of Asia's largest smart technology gatherings on two fronts: a thought-leadership presence on the Smart Building Summit stage and a product-led showcase on the exhibition floor.
On Stage: The Foundations of Smart Buildings
Co-Founder and CEO Hasaan Kadli joined the Smart Building Summit panel "The Foundations of Smart Buildings: Connectivity, Energy & Control Systems," alongside panellists Prashant Nimbade, Neha V Karnala and Kulin Kapadia, with Dr. Amit Chaudhari moderating — a conversation that moved past marketing claims into the wiring, protocols and integration realities of building connected, energy-aware buildings in India. Modo thanked the INBAC Association for powering the panel, the CII – Indian Green Building Council as knowledge partner, and KPM for the moderator chair.
On the Floor: A Unified Ecosystem on Display
The Modo Technologies team brought the company's story to life at its booth, presenting a connected ecosystem unified by Homey and aligned with the Matter standard. Highlights included Aqara Studio, the Lockin V7 with Aura Charge, and Modo Lighting, along with the India debut — through Modo — of Govee and Dreame. During the show, Co-Founder Ayub Kazia sat down with Smart Home World for the publication's April issue, sharing Modo's perspective on the direction of connected living in India. The company also credited its local partner and sub-distributor, DBG Tech, and Ayush Panchal and his team, for their role in the booth's success.
A Consistent Message: Unified or Not Smart
"Three days reinforced what we've been saying for years: the smart home of the future is unified, or it isn't smart. The fragmentation problem is the problem," said Kadli, who thanked the integrators, architects, developers and visitors who engaged with the team throughout the event.
