RESIDENTIAL · DUBAI, UAE

Inside this Al Khawaneej villa, a full Aqara smart home system — automated curtains and blinds, mood lighting, a smart door lock, CCTV, access control, and the network to tie it all together — turned everyday living into something effortless. This is the story of how Modo gave a house a life of its own.

Al Athbah Villa 1

Tucked into a quiet corner of Al Khawaneej, this villa had all the makings of a beautiful home — but it still ran on switches, remotes, and routine. Every light had its own button, every blind its own cord, every door its own key. Modo was brought in to change that story.

The transformation started at the core, with a full Aqara home automation system woven through every room of the house. Curtains that once had to be drawn by hand now glide open with the morning light. Roller blinds lower themselves as the afternoon sun gets too bright. Dimmable track lighting shifts from bright and functional in the day to warm and quiet in the evening, without anyone touching a switch. Even the front door joined the story — a smart lock that turns arriving home into something as simple as a tap.

But a smart home is only as good as what stands behind it, so Modo layered in a full CCTV and access control system, giving the family a quiet sense of security that runs in the background of daily life. And beneath all of it, a structured network was built to carry the load — the invisible backbone making sure every lock, light, camera, and motor speaks the same language, all the time.

What used to be a house full of separate gadgets is now one home, moving as a whole. Curtains open with the sunrise. Lights adjust to the mood of the room. Doors lock themselves. Cameras keep watch. Nothing about it feels like technology anymore — it just feels like home, taking care of itself so the people living in it don't have to.
