A wireless smart home in Bangalore typically costs ₹2.5 lakh to ₹15 lakh before GST, depending on its size and what you automate. A fully wired system starts at about ₹30 lakh, and very large projects run to ₹1–10 crore or more.
These figures come from the quotes Modo issued in India between June and October 2026. They are before 18% GST and after any discount. Your own price depends on the size of the home, how many rooms and systems you automate, and whether the system is wireless or wired.
Wireless smart homes: typical prices
A wireless system replaces your switches and adds control panels, sensors and curtain motors that talk to a hub. It needs no new cables run to a central panel, which is why it is the usual choice for a home that is already built.
A wireless home in Bangalore typically costs ₹2.5 lakh to ₹15 lakh before GST. At the lower end that is smart switches and curtain motors in a few rooms; at the upper end, every room of a large home.
The range covers the devices and their programming. Some quotes include installation in that figure and others list it as a separate charge, so check what a quote includes before you compare it with another.
Wired systems: where the price starts
A wired system runs a cable from every keypad, sensor, light circuit, curtain motor and AC unit to a central automation panel. Modo builds most of these on Loxone, as a Loxone Gold Partner. A wired system is planned at the design stage, before the walls and ceilings are closed.
| Wired project | Price, before GST |
|---|---|
| A whole home | From about ₹30 lakh |
| Very large projects | ₹1 crore – 10 crore |
| Luxury homes | No fixed upper limit |
A wired price has no ceiling. It grows with each custom requirement: more keypads and sensors, multiroom audio, a home cinema, landscape lighting, integration with the AC and other building systems. On a luxury install the brief sets the price.
Wireless or wired: which fits
- Wireless fits a finished home. It goes in room by room, can start with a single system, and suits apartments and houses that are already built.
- Wired fits a new build or a full renovation. It is one system for the whole property, run from one panel, and suits villas and buildings where lighting, AC, curtains, audio and security should all work together.
What changes the price
- The number of points. Every switch, sensor, curtain motor and AC unit is a device to supply, install and program, so a larger home costs more.
- The systems you add. Lighting and curtains are the core. AC control, door access and video door phones, Wi-Fi and cameras, multiroom audio and a home cinema each add to it.
- The platform and the keypads. One villa quoted on two wired platforms differed by about ₹8 lakh; another home, quoted in two options, by about ₹15 lakh.
- Installation and programming. On wired projects in Modo's Indian quotes these are usually about 15% of the price.
- Wireless or wired. A wired home starts above the top of the wireless range, because every point is cabled to a central panel and programmed as one system.
What is not in the price
- GST at 18%.
- Civil works, and electrical conduits and wiring up to the point of supply.
- Internet service charges.
- An annual maintenance contract, which is quoted separately if you want one.
Hardware comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and Modo's installation workmanship is covered for 12 months from handover.
How to get an exact price
Send us the floor plan, or a list of rooms and what you want to control in each. The quote lists every device and its price room by room, so you can see where the money goes and take out what you do not need. Where it helps, we quote two options side by side, for example two platforms for the same villa.
Questions people ask next

On wired projects, yes: installation and programming are part of the quote and are usually about 15% of it. On wireless projects, some quotes include installation and others list it as a separate charge, so check before you compare two quotes.
Is GST included in these prices?
No. Every figure on this page is before GST. GST at 18% is added on the quote.
Can I automate a flat or house I already live in?

A wired home starts from about ₹30 lakh before GST.
What is the most a smart home can cost in Bangalore?
